I didn’t get a finished photo of these… but they’re Valentine’s Day collar bandanas made for the BDAR pups. (SP22) Here’s a tutorial I’ve used for collar bandanas. Then for these I just used fabric transfer paper, printed the conversation hearts and ironed them on.
Last night was BDAR’s 3rd Annual Bark & Wine event! It’s a big fundraiser for the pups at the Historic Hynds Building in Cheyenne… there was food, a band, tons of silent auction items and of course wine and adoptable pups… plus one live auction at the end that we had a very hard time not bidding on (it was a week-long vacation at a luxury Steamboat cabin that held up to 12 people). I had my reluctant sidekick with me (Danny) – we decided on two items and I put down a few other bids but got out-bid on everything but one – a photo of one of the Union Pacific trains. We’ve started collecting photos and such from places that we go… so this one will be a good Cheyenne memory :) OH, they also had a “Name a Foster Dog” donation thing going on… so Danny donated to name a pup Donut… I just can’t wait to see who they decide to give the name to. Happy Pharmacy Week! Ok, so technically it’s Hospital and Health-System Pharmacy Week… but it’s close enough! And make sure to thank and/or hug a pharmacy technician tomorrow because it’s Pharmacy Technician Appreciation Day! I feel lucky to say I have amazing techs! Definitely couldn’t do it without them. I ordered a cake and cupcakes from Honeycakes for tomorrow… super excited about how they came out! Plus, I’ve been smelling them all evening (that’s not weird, right?) and they smell like a heavenly night of sleep feels (aka aaaamazing). The cake is chocolate hazelnut and the cupcakes are vanilla chai. Danny smelled the cupcakes and thought they smelled terrible, like “Depakote” he says… I think he’s insane, as per usual. I can’t wait to eat my Depakote cupcakes. BTW the Honeycakes ladies are big supporters of BDAR + they make delicious things = they are basically winning in my book!
Last week, Danny told me that he thinks I have an addiction to dresses. Just because, sometimes, late at night, when I should be going to bed, I instead go online and shop for dresses (how can anyone resist all of the adorable and reasonably-priced dresses on ModCloth) and then make up reasons why I “need” them (even though I wear a uniform every day)… that doesn’t mean I’m addicted… does it? Hmm… So anyway, now he’s trying to tell me I have a dog addiction. I don’t see what’s so wrong with wanting to save every single stinkin’ adorable puppy face out there. The BDAR volunteer group on Facebook always posts the urgent dogs in Wyoming that need foster homes. Now that we’re not fostering anymore, it kills me inside every time I look at all those faces. Today, I guess someone came in to drop off 12 dogs at one of the shelters that we work with… 12! I just want to pick one (or maybe 3) and say we’ll take him/her/them! Please …
