Hello Spring! March Stitch Fix (#10!)

Well hello there, Spring! I was so excited about this fix. We’re headed to a friend’s wedding later this month so I asked for a few dress options. While I didn’t end up keeping either of the dresses they sent, it was still a really fun way to try some on! BRIXON IVY Foster Halter Dress | $88 | Status: Sent back Dress numero uno! I loved it at first sight! The color is fun and it’s perfect to wear to a spring wedding, but it didn’t end up fitting very well. Too tight in some places, too loose in others. On someone else this would be super super cute. Sanctuary Analise Textured Dress | $68 | Status: Sent back I loved the hemline on this one and it gave me some great ideas for a sew-at-home dress (textured fabric, two layers of fabric overlain in the front, that hemline!)… very fun ideas :) … but the colors weren’t really working for me. It’s hard to tell in the first picture but it’s pink and red …

Stitch Fix #9 – February

You’d think with all of the beautiful weather we’ve been having lately I’d be ready for Spring, but I really just want to cozy up in a nice warm sweater… so that’s what I asked for in this month’s Stitch Fix. Papermoon Bastille Tulip Sleeve Blouse | $38 | Status: Going back Of course they couldn’t send just sweaters :) This one came with a white tank to wear underneath (which was very soft, by the way), but I think it was still a little too see-through for my liking. It gave me a great idea for a future sewing project, though… :) The tulip sleeves are fun. Brixon Ivy Atticus Pointelle Knit Sweater | $58 | Status: Going back The fit was a little off for me. The color is great for Spring, though! Mystree Esperanza Open Stitch Cardigan | $68 | Status: Going back I love love how long the sleeves are. Usually sleeves are too short for me so these were a nice change of pace. Other than that, though, it didn’t really do …

Stitch Fix #8 – January

I actually got this fix back at the beginning of January but just got around to taking pictures. I wasn’t worried about taking them right away because SPOILER ALERT! I kept everything! :) Henry & Belle Billy Skinny Jean | $148 ($112) | Status: Kept! Super comfy! I cringed when I cut the tags off – they are definitely the most expensive jeans I’ve ever owned – but I couldn’t help it. I actually requested a long pair of dark skinny jeans and my stylist sent me the perfect ones! I couldn’t let them out of my life. :) I’m wearing them in the pictures below. Tart Leighton Boat Neck Knit Shirt | $58 ($44.50) | Status: Kept! I really like this one. It’s a simple, casual, medium-weight knit. A good wardrobe staple. Fun2Fun Colibri Plaid Tab-Sleeve Cotton Shirt | $48 ($37) | Status: Kept! I really wanted to rant and rave about this shirt. I love the style and the colors and it was a perfect grown-up replacement of a shirt I already had in …

Winter Fashion – Stitch Fix Style

Hello Hello! So, normally I only get my fixes once a month but for some reason, they scheduled this one only 2 weeks after my last fix. I could have gone in and changed it, but decided to go ahead with it. Plus it turned out to be perfect timing for this post, so all is well in the end :) I mean, let’s face it… I really don’t have fashion sense much less any fashion advice to share. Other than sharing my sewing creations, Stitch Fix is about fashion-y as it gets around here! So here’s what I got in my latest box: I was very mixed about this box. It was a close call between keeping everything and keeping nothing. :/ And sorry, no try-ons this time around. I love Stitch Fix reviews that show how the clothes fit, but it just didn’t happen today. Look by M Prescott Solid Fringe Detail Wrap Scarf | $32 | Status: Sent back Super soft, big, and comfy! Although the color is really nice (a light …

Stitch Fix #6 – November

Got home from Vegas to a wonderful surprise! My November Stitch Fix box! Okay so technically I knew it was coming, but it was exciting nonetheless. ;) It was scheduled to come the day we were leaving but after a quick email to the Stitch Fix peeps they changed the date no problem. Love their customer service! Here’s what I got this month — my request was for some items to wear for work. Tulle Abner Long Sleeve Textured Sheath Dress | $68 | Status: Sent back I wanted to love this dress. The color was really nice and it had a fun texture and perfect length, but it just didn’t fit quite right. Would be a great holiday dress, though! Market and Spruce Jay Mini Houndstooth Printed Skirt | $58 | Status: Sent back Since I started sewing, I’m so much more critical of RTW clothing. This skirt was okay, but it was definitely something I felt would be a super easy sew so I wasn’t about to pay $58 for it. I’m sure …
