Happenings | Zoe caught and killed her first gopher. :/ In our house, we call them “ground kitties”. They are all over our backyard and the pups love to run and dig after them. I’m afraid it’s turning into a grotesque version of whac-a-mole :/ Also finally broke down and got a new phone… I got the Moto X… it’s pink and white and no short of amazing. That means I can stop stealing Danny’s phone to sync my Misfit… :) which is really what spurred me to get a new one in the first place. I’ve only had it for a few days, but I’m loving it so far! Reading | Finished A Short History of Tractors in Ukranian by Marina Lewycka. It was a good read… and I love her style of first-person writing; it comes out in a way that you feel like you’re really in the main character’s head (in a different way than normal… I can’t explain it). Also came across the Perfect Pattern Parcel #6 from Lindsay’s last post… check! purchased! :) I’ve been eyeing both the Hudson Pant and the Julia Cardigan for a while, so this is the perfect opportunity! Also learned that Love at First Stitch is now available to order in the U.S. I will definitely be purchasing as soon as we’re in the new house… and/or putting it on my Christmas list :) we’ll see… Only 2 more weeks in Wyoming! Said goodbye to our stuff this week! Okay okay… I gotta take a quick minute and share my friend Taylor’s music video. She is one of the sweetest and smartest people I know (graduated in the top of our pharmacy class!)… she’s also beautiful and super talented and following her dreams in the music world. She just came out with her first music video. Check it out: Find more about Taylor here. So they packed up our house today! We’ll be living in a sea of boxes until next week when we’ll be living very minimally :/ The pups went to doggie daycare today while the packing guys were here. When we picked them up, they were separated from all the other dogs. The girl working said Zoe was a little grumpy with a few of the dogs. She said that she seems to choose the older, overweight dogs to be friends with and is grumpy with the rest of them. lol oh dear… my sweet little baby. I’m just crossing my fingers that she gets along with all of her new puppy …

So I got an email from United Blood Services the other day saying my blood type is currently in high demand. They probably say that to everyone, but I decided to take it as a sign, and went on to make an appointment. When I first moved to Wyoming, I started giving blood on a regular basis. They have a great facility here and they make it super easy to schedule your appointment, go in, and get on your way (with cookies!). Then I started selling my plasma (for a short time) – also a nice facility in the area – but that just wasn’t the same. Then after going to Belize, I had to put it all on hold for a while – it’s one of those travel areas where once you get back they make you wait a year in case you are harboring something in your blood. I’m so glad to get back to it though! I signed up to give whole blood but they needed plasma most, so that’s what I gave today. Give me a …
