MMM’16 Pledge + a Dressy Talk Blouse for Easter

It’s that time of year again! That time when the online sewing community comes together in a beautiful way to take over the internet with handmade clothing. It’s the time of year that makes my heart smile :) Or, you know… beat faster… maybe… anyway, it’s a fun time, so of course I’m joining in. I’m going the traditional route and endeavor to wear one me-made item each day for the duration of May 2016. Hence why I used ‘part’ instead of ‘week’ in my post titles… lol So my MMMay kinda fizzled out a little, but not because I didn’t meet my pledge… only because I ran out of things to wear! :) The only one I didn’t wear was my purple knit tank (unblogged). 09|31 Too hot outside to wear sweaters! But my self-drafted aztec sweater also doubles wonderfully as a comfy robe around the house when the boy keeps it too cool for me :) 10|31 My sis and I walked a 5K — I wore my new pink Matilda leggings (more to come…!) 11|31 More new leggings! Before I get into outfits and what not… it’s nice to see everything in one place – or take a look at what I’m up against, however you want to look at it. So here it is in all its glory… my me-made wardrobe! TOPS BOTTOMS OTHER It’s not much, but it’s mine and I love that it’s slowly growing and helping me figure out my style (or if I even have one) :) See individual posts for most of the items here. And now for my first me-made make in May! Say that 5 times fast :) I wanted to try out the sizing on the Union St. Tee, so while I was cutting fabric for a skirt, I cut one out in the same fabrics. I cut a small this time because the fabric was a little thicker and more stretchy than last time. It’s a black ponte de roma from Girl Charlee, and I combined it with this black stretch vegan leather for the sleeves. A fun twist on the plain black tee. …
