Top 5 of 2016

Another year is officially down in the books, folks! I hope everyone had exciting and/or relaxed and/or sleepy celebrations last night! :) Tis time for a little reflection on all of the crazy things that flew by in the past 365 days. Cheers to another round of top 5’s. See also:   Hits White Lace Hey June Charleston Dress. This dress marks the first time I’ve made an official muslin for the sole purpose of fitting (of course it turned out to be wearable… and I only did it because the dress wasn’t for me… but still). :) Progress. Plus, it got worn for two events, so I think I had a decently satisfied recipient! Granted, after taking hand sewing at Camp Workroom Social later in the year, I got a little sad about my sheer lack of regard for my lace seams (there was no piecing together of any lace here, peeps!)… but it still turned out, and got worn, so that’s what matters! And yes, the mint zipper is still my favorite part (and the girl wearing …

Catching Up… Maui Wedding Makes!

Let’s not talk about when I actually made these… ;) Let’s just jump right in… First up… TEAM BRIDE Shirts! The bride helped me with these ones… I broke out my Cricut for the first time in a LONG time (I’ve only used it a couple of times – here and here – but when I need it, it definitely comes in handy!!!). I can’t even remember what I originally bought it for :/ All of the shirts were mint except for the bride’s which of course was white and just said Bride. I originally had thought about buying them… but this way was so much better! Not to mention quicker and cheaper! See them in full bridal force here. :) Next up, the Hey June …

30 before 30 – The Results!

A little over a year ago, I made a plan. 30 things to do before I turned 30. Well that year came and went in about a day! I always say time flies, but I’m pretty sure it just goes by faster and faster as you get older. Maybe at some point it slows down again? I can wish, right? :) Anywhoo… here ya go! The results are in! 1  |  Grow something edible. My parents had one of those strawberry pots with all the holes in the sides just sitting around, so I acquired it, along with a few baby starter plants. This little guy was the only strawberry that survived before the worms got them and the pot dried out. I wish I’d gotten my dad’s green thumb, but unfortunately I did not. Or have not developed it yet. But nonetheless… I grew a strawberry! One day… 2  |  Learn to cold brew coffee. Darn. Not yet. I really should while the weather is still warm! Here’s a little inspiration, self.     Seems super …
