Buttons, pleats, and pockets galore! I love everything about the post from sew a straight line. She made 3 items from the Perfect Pattern Parcel and they turned out great! I definitely want to try out Merrick’s tutorial for her pleated dress. It looks so comfy and perfect for so many occasions. Hers was one of the first blogs I started following after digging through Pinterest for sewing tutorials. She has since started a series “DIY Friday” with tutorials every week… love! The Lola dress look super comfy and I’ve been looking for a good button up shirt… Butterick 5526 might just be the one to try! Until next time,

Sometimes I shouldn’t be allowed to help with things…

So Danny has been going around the house fixing all of our blinds. They were reminiscent of this (or this or this). lol The’re the basic white blinds you can get at any home store for cheap… so yes, nothing crazy to replace, but he decided to go ahead and fix them since the renters hadn’t shortened any of them to fit the windows so they had plenty of extra rails (I feel like I’m not explaining this very well… this is what I’m talking about) lol so anyway… the other day, he fixed one of the ones in the bedroom and then the pups ran in there and messed up what he’d just fixed and he got frustrated. That’s how they all got messed up in the first place — pups love to look out windows :/ So after he fixed the nice big window downstairs, I was like “you should really pull up the shade so they can’t mess it up after you put in all that time to fix it.” Here I …

Also learned that Love at First Stitch is now available to order in the U.S. I will definitely be purchasing as soon as we’re in the new house… and/or putting it on my Christmas list :) we’ll see… Only 2 more weeks in Wyoming! Said goodbye to our stuff this week! See you on the flipside, boxes!Ā :) The above picture plus an air mattress is the extent of our furniture right now :/ Finn was very Ā upset about the whole situation… but as you can see Zoe …

A (Mostly) Handmade Baby Shower

My sis’s baby shower turned out really fun! We wanted to go with something unique and not store bought… so my mom and I got to work :) Thank you to Pinterest, as always, for the endless inspiration. Theme: Nautical (Ahoy! It’s a Boy!) Colors: Blue and Orange Games: Baby Shower Bingo Sperm Toss Tournament Guess Em’s Belly Size (I’m sure there is a better name for this game… but whatevs) :) My favorite part: I’m so glad IĀ found this note on Pinterest before I sent out the invites. Actually, there are a ton of them out there with slightly different wording, but I think it’s is such a cute idea! Especially for my sis — she’s a big reader. She was able to leave the party with a whole collection of children’s books, and each with meaning because they came from all of her friends and family. For the invites, I finally broke out my Cricut! I got it for Christmas and back then I was super excited to start using it… then it …
