Halloween 2014… a.k.a. the year I bought an entire bold of fabric and didn’t sew anything :) And the year of lazy costumes. Basically, the complete opposite of last year. Halloween was weird this year. It was my last official day in the military, we were getting ready to move across the country, AND I didn’t do really anything for my costumes. Call me a costume snob, but I blame my mom (love you, Mom!) ;) I was spoiled and never had a store-bought costume growing up, and I’ve always tried to avoid them as much as possible. This year I had two costumes, both thrown together with regular clothes… they weren’t my favorites but they worked out alright.
So first up, just in case you’ve ever wondered what an entire bold of army green broadcloth looks like… here ya go:
Here’s the whole M*A*S*H crew:
And here was the same group (mostly) the weekend before:
:) Oh my goodness, I’m going to miss all of them so much! Who wouldn’t!? Check that group out! :)
There you have it… lazy costume #1: Rosie the Riveter
And lazy costume #2: Maj Margaret “Hot Lips” Houlihan from M*A*S*H. I wish I would’ve had more time to get the hair right… but I came straight from my outprocessing appointment in uniform back to the pharmacy and didn’t have time to do much with my hair other than take it out of its sock bun (for the very last time!).
Until next time,
