Tile

http://www.thetileapp.com Umm… yes, please. It’s like the locator thing I used to have where there was a button that you push to find your stuff… until I lost the button thing. :( Until of course someone steals your stuff, sees the tile connected to it, and throws it away… But, just for around the house and finding my keys and such… I definitely think I will need this.   Edit: apparently this is only for i-products… no tile for me :(

Haircut

Today I tried to convince Danny it would be a good idea for me to cut his hair. I have no idea why he didn’t like my idea. He drove around and couldn’t get into any of the barbers in town, so he said he was desperate… but apparently not desperate enough to trust me and my scissors. :/ I told him I’m really good at learning things from YouTube… I mean, it really shouldn’t matter that the only things I usually learn on YouTube are new knitting techniques… right!?! I still have complete confidence that I could do it… but we’ll see… maybe if he stays still enough in his sleep… :)

We Aren’t Juice Cleanse People… We’re Cheese People

For a while, Danny and I have been talking about doing a juice cleanse. So, over the past few weeks, I have been researching slew of different ones that you could order, and finally used a few sites I found on Pinterest (1, 2, 3, etc.) as inspiration to put together our own that vaguely resembled the Blueprint Cleanse (I was drawn to the Blueprint cleanse in the beginning because of it’s packaging… I am a sucker for good marketing… I will purchase almost anything that looks that neat and sleek). So anyway, I made my own recipes, put them each individually into the SparkPeople recipe maker to find out our ratio of carbs/fats/proteins and calorie counts, etc. and adjusted as necessary to make sure we weren’t going to be starving ourselves. Then I made a list of all the ingredients we would need. On Sunday night (literally night… we were shopping for fruits and veggies at 10pm, it was weird), we made the trek to Safeway and loaded the card with deliciousness (plus kale and …

Stairs

Came home today thinking I would try to fit in a nice workout before dinner. Then I fell down the stairs. :/ Danny thinks I need one of those chair lift things that takes you up and down the stairs safely. The pain radiating through my shoulder and hand agrees.

Blood Money

Well… to be a little more specific, plasma money. They say you should live like a student while you are paying off student loans. Well I’m now taking that to the next level. Danny and I have resorted to selling our plasma for extra spending money. Yes, I am a full-time pharmacist, but there are too many flights to buy! :) I’m not sure how I feel about it yet; we only went the one time so far, but I have my second “donation” scheduled for tomorrow. I must say, walking into the BioLife place doesn’t quite give me the warm fuzzies like the blood bank, and it’s not quite as luxurious either (no warm blankets or calcium chews to munch on when your lips start to tingle… and they didn’t even have one of those hand things for me to squeeze to get my blood pumping), but it’s hard to say no to free money when all you have to do is sit there and read for a little while. I figure I will keep it up …
