Hello Spring! March Stitch Fix (#10!)

Well hello there, Spring!

March 2015 Stitch Fix | Life by Ky Blog

I was so excited about this fix. We’re headed to a friend’s wedding later this month so I asked for a few dress options. While I didn’t end up keeping either of the dresses they sent, it was still a really fun way to try some on!

Dress numero uno! I loved it at first sight! The color is fun and it’s perfect to wear to a spring wedding, but it didn’t end up fitting very well. Too tight in some places, too loose in others. On someone else this would be super super cute.

I loved the hemline on this one and it gave me some great ideas for a sew-at-home dress (textured fabric, two layers of fabric overlain in the front, that hemline!)… very fun ideas :) … but the colors weren’t really working for me. It’s hard to tell in the first picture but it’s pink and red at the shoulders. The fabric was really nice tho, not too clingy and didn’t show things you didn’t want it to show even though it was fitted.

I love that this came from a cute little boutique right in San Fran! I was really close to keeping this one.

Don’t ask me what’s going on with that pose. I really need to learn some new ways to stand in photos :/ So I was wearing those pants the day my box came in the mail. Put this on and – boom! instant outfit! haha actually with all the colors I think it’ll go with a lot! And yes, it would be an easy sew – a simple, loose fitting tank – but I couldn’t resist the fun-patterned, silky fabric. It’s just so cheerful.

Despite all the wrinkles in the top photo, you can see the nice texture to this chambray. And who doesn’t love a few polka dots every now and again. I also love the fact that it’s a little longer and has the fun detail in the back. I went back and forth between the two tops until Danny said, “why don’t you just keep both?” – and that decision was done. :)

What do you think? What would you have kept?

Also, to the person who signed up through my link, you are amazing and I hope you love Stitch Fix as much as I do! (With Stitch Fix, when someone signs up through your referral link [<– referral link], you get a $25 credit toward your next fix). They know how to perpetuate the crazy very well ;)

Until next time,

Ky
