A Letter to Santa

Okay, okay here I go… joining in for the 25 Days of Christmas, in all of its blogging glory! This is the most amazing time of year, after all. Why not join in on the fun? :) See all of the prompts here or here.

Dear Santa,

It’s been a while since I’ve written you a letter. Sorry I haven’t been in touch. But I know you’ve had your hands full. Speaking of… Santa, you’ve seen a good number of years go by… do you find that the time seems to go by faster every year? I can’t believe how quickly this year came and went. I say it every year, but it never ceases to impress me. Sorry, Santa, did I just call you old? My dad would say you must be drinking green smoothies. Do you drink green smoothies, Santa?

Looking back, it was always so exciting waiting for you to come. It was the only day of the year my sister would wake up before me. And it was all because of you, Santa. She would wake me up early and we would sneak into the other room to see if you had come. But then you started putting things in the way, blocking us from sneaking through the hall to peek at the presents. Remember that year, Santa, when you stole the cat motion alarm from the other room and put it inside big paper bags blocking the hallway? If we tried to jump over or move the bags, the alarm would have gone off and we would’ve woken our parents. Santa, that was weird.

It’s okay though. You’re still a pretty cool guy. This year has been a good one, Santa. We moved to California so please make sure you update our address on your list so you and the reindeer can find us. But I’m sure you knew that already, didn’t you? ;) Say hi to Mrs. Claus for me. She never gets enough credit, you know. I hope you do something special for her after the holiday season craziness dies down.

If my pups send you letters this year, Santa… don’t let them fool you. They are spoiled enough. ;) But please do send a little extra Christmas cheer to the BDAR pups waiting for their forever homes… maybe you can even help a few of them find their homes before Christmas??? That would be awesome. That and please say hi to my far-away friends. You’ll see them before I will, unfortunately. Not that they will see you, but whatevs.

Thank you, Santa, for everything you do. Especially for bringing us the Christmas spirit year after year. We are lucky to have it. I’m going to make the most of it this year since I’m finally closer to family. And for those who have a hard time around the holidays, I hope you bring them some extra love.

Until next year Santa… stay awesome. I’ll leave some kale out for you.

Love,

KySig
