Wedding DIY: Part 2 | Save the Dates & Invitations + Bridal Jewelry

It was 104Β°F yesterday when I went outside for lunch. Got up to 114Β° in some spots around here. I’m all for the summertime heat, but this week has been exhausting! I’m sure many of you are feeling it where you are too! Makes me think back to the summers I worked outside building docks right across from the movie theater where all of my friends worked in the nice, cool air conditioning. ha! Loved that job, but now that I’m older all I can say is how glad and thankful I am to have an indoor job! :) On to it! Our save-the-dates went through SO MANY revisions (this was version 10) :) because I’m picky and I waited until the last minute to send them. I originally wanted to have a picture of us on there but we ended up having to push back our engagement photos a few times (rain, etc…) so instead the pups got to be center stage! Because, well, look at those faces… I used the same photos of …

Wedding DIY: Part 1 | Bridal Party Proposal Cards + Bridesmaid Gifts

Happy Wednesday! Today is the day we begin the arduous but necessary documentation of all of our wedding DIY adventures. :) Because if you don’t write it down, it never happened. There’s just something about being surrounded by all of the people that you love for that one awesome/epic day that always appealed to me. With that, though, comes the wedding party. How big do you go? How many on each side? Do you have to have the same number on each side? If I have everyone that I want up there, will there be anyone left to …

A (Mostly) Handmade Baby Shower

My sis’s baby shower turned out really fun! We wanted to go with something unique and not store bought… so my mom and I got to work :) Thank you to Pinterest, as always, for the endless inspiration. Theme: Nautical (Ahoy! It’s a Boy!) Colors: Blue and Orange Games: Baby Shower Bingo Sperm Toss Tournament Guess Em’s Belly Size (I’m sure there is a better name for this game… but whatevs) :) My favorite part: I’m so glad IΒ found this note on Pinterest before I sent out the invites. Actually, there are a ton of them out there with slightly different wording, but I think it’s is such a cute idea! Especially for my sis — she’s a big reader. She was able to leave the party with a whole collection of children’s books, and each with meaning because they came from all of her friends and family. For the invites, I finally broke out my Cricut! I got it for Christmas and back then I was super excited to start using it… then it …
