Yay! Here they are, finally :) I made these for the PJ Party at Camp Workroom Social over two months ago… then took pictures when I got back from camp and I’m finally getting around to posting them now! I also still have Halloween Costumes to post… maybe before the end of the year! ;)
Sad story about that mug though… I brought it to work a couple of weeks ago and it disappeared. No one has seen it. Just gone. :(
So these, of course, are the Carolyn Pajamas from Closet Case Files. I had no choice but to make my own piping ;) For that I used leftover zebra print cotton from my stash (also used here), and I found some simple little black vintage buttons to use from my stash as well.
If I remember correctly, I made a straight size 6, just added 3 inches to the length of the pants. I’ve since worn then constantly and washed them a bunch, so they’ve shrunk even more and are a bit too short, but not too bad (still better than all of my RTW PJ pants that are more like capris) :/ After first putting them on, it felt like the pants were going to be too tight in the thighs, but after wearing them a bit they feel great.
The scissor fabric was from a Jo-Ann’s in ATL. I flew out there for a friend’s wedding earlier this year and had an extra afternoon to explore. I was looking up where to go when my phone died. Seeing that I have become completely reliant on technology and I didn’t have a lot of time, :/ I only drove a little way away from my hotel and happened to come across a giant Jo-Ann Fabrics. Couldn’t carry too much with me but I found a few fun things. :) Definitely couldn’t resist the scissors!
Camp itself was absolutely AH-MAZING. I’m so glad I got to attend this year! It was the first thing I’ve gone to like that (well, I don’t think there’s anything quite like camp, but you know what I mean)… :) being surrounded by so many amazing ladies/creative minds was fantastic, to say the least. I soaked up as much as I could and then headed back to reality!
Oh, and I made a hat :) The CWS Friendship Hat from our knitting night! I was a little worried because it’s been so long since I’ve picked up needles, but turns out it’s just like riding a bike, if you will. :) It also made me realize how much I miss knitting!
Well I hope you’re having a wonderful holiday season! We had one work holiday party yesterday, one tomorrow, then a Christmas train and family Christmas get-together on Sunday. At some point in there I need to bake 5 dozen cookies for our cookie exchange at work on Monday, too! :) BUT… I cleaned my sewing room today and will be getting the HVAC connected up there next week so I’ll actually be able to go up there without freezing! In other words, hopefully more sewing soon :D Yay!
Until next time,
