Happy Friday! I survived my first week at the new job and it was awesome. I’m just so glad to be working again. That’s not to say that it went smoothly… there’s definitely going to be a getting-used-to-the-new-surroundings period – but all things considered, I think it went really well. :)
So, funny little story. Back in October I applied for a new passport. I even paid the extra $$ for expedited service/shipping because I wanted to make sure I had it before I left Wyoming. I went into the post office, got my official photo taken, filled out all the paperwork, and signed on all the lines. Then I got a letter saying my photo didn’t meet their standards and I needed to send a new one. It’s not like I had taken my own photo… this was the $15 2″x2″ photo from the post office that I had them take to make sure it was correct. But anywhoo, then life got in the way. Moving out… moving in… holidays… you know the drill. Needless to say I never got around to sending a new picture. They even called me once in December because they still had my account open in their system, and I told them “yes, yes, I will send you a picture”.
Then this week I got an envelope in the mail with my new passport, with the photo they said was no good. So moral of the story… if you wait long enough I guess they don’t really care what your photo looks like. I’m still not sure what was wrong with mine. It’s a terrible picture, but aren’t they all?! Oh well… I get to mark that off my to do list without having to do anything! Also get to mark #19 off my 30 before 30 list! Woohoo!
Also did #20! Actually back in October, shortly after making my list, a couple of friends and I got together and made this awesome honey wheat (I think that’s what it was) and also made some tortillas… it was all pretty delicious. I really need to make more. Danny the other day said we got a bread maker for Christmas last year but it’s still at his parent’s house in Virginia. A lot of good it does us there! lol! Oh, boys.
Here was our beautiful bread… and I’m busy pretty sure I was violently punching the dough in that second picture. Good times :)
Eeek almost forgot… also made a couple of photo books for Christmas gifts! There’s #9!
I’m well on my way to accomplishing #4 and #26 also…
I hope you had a wonderful week and have an even more wonderful weekend!
Until next time,
