Panama Tee Dress Testing

Hello and happy November! Don’t even get me started on how it is almost Thanksgiving already ;) So I have a few other things I need to post, but I couldn’t wait any longer to share my most recent pattern testing experience… this time with Alina Design Sewing | Design Co. :) While still in the midst of searching for the perfect tee dress pattern since I made my last one (albeit not looking all THAT hard) ;) I thankfully got the email announcing a tester call for Alina’s newest release, the Panama Tee Dress! It came at the prefect time, too. It was right at the end of my crazy Halloween sewing week and right before I planned to get started on my wedding dress (I told myself November… but again, it’s already almost Thanksgiving… what is happening!?) ;). Anyway, I couldn’t resist. So without further ado, here are the three latest additions to my handmade wardrobe and a new go-to pattern added to the collection… First up is View A, the classic tee.   The …

Me-Made Inventory & A New Make!

Before I get into outfits and what not… it’s nice to see everything in one place – or take a look at what I’m up against, however you want to look at it. So here it is in all its glory… my me-made wardrobe! TOPS BOTTOMS OTHER It’s not much, but it’s mine and I love that it’s slowly growing and helping me figure out my style (or if I even have one) :) See individual posts for most of the items here. I cut a small this time because the fabric was a little thicker and more stretchy than last time. It’s a black ponte de roma from Girl Charlee, and I combined it with this black stretch vegan leather for the sleeves. A fun twist on the plain black tee. …

Slouchy Contrast Shoulder Tee and SoulPancake

I’ve been looking for a pattern of some kind to use this fabric with since I got it. It’s another one of my grandma stash fabrics. It’s very retro (as most of the fabrics from her are) :) but I think it’s fun. I used this pattern/tutorial – which is meant for lighter weight material, but I think it still came out okay. (SP27) Oh, and I meant to put this in it’s own post, but then I made a shirt… so they get to go together… I got caught on YouTube today after watching a Kid President video (“Letter To A Person On Their First Day Here”) which led me to some of his other videos which then led me to SoulPancake which apparently is full of some really awesome things. I don’t know how I haven’t come across it before. I rarely get on YouTube, but when I do I end up watching these mindless videos that are usually funny, yes, but not particularly meaningful. Gotta say… this stuff is good. Definitely a good …
