Onesies for the Little!

It’s probably no surprise by now that I love the Matilda legging pattern from Spit Up & Stilettos. Actually I love all of their patterns, I just have yet to try any of the others :)! And all of their women’s patterns are free! But they also have some awesome kid patterns — soooo now that I have a little nephew to sew for — I decided to try out the Dylan Onesie for this month’s TMS challenge! **UPDATE: the kid patterns from Spit Up & Stilettos are now available under the label Sadie + Sam; their women’s patterns can be found here** I wasn’t quite ready to take on Menswear… but for this little guy… that I can do!   (we had a little 6-month photo session last weekend… isn’t he the cutest!?!) :) So anyway, I made two. KnitFix! + Aztec Matilda Leggings

Happy day after Christmas! I get to celebrate again tomorrow when we have our extended family get-together. I love this time of year so much! You also know how much I love Stitch Fix! Well, when Girl Charlee came out with KnitFix… naturally, I had to give it a try :) Not that I need more fabric… but we won’t talk about that right now… ;) So you get a cute little tote bag with 6 mystery fabrics, 2 yards each. Here’s what I got in December’s KnitFix: I’ve been eyeing all of the cute printed leggings out there, and I’ve been psyching myself up to start my Ginger Jeans (my pattern is ready, my fabric is ready… I’m just not mentally ready)… :/ so I figured I’d start with some super simple pants – leggings! I used the black/gray/white aztec print fabric from my KnitFix and the Matilda Leggings pattern from Spit Up & Stilettos. I really love this pattern! I cut between the small and medium size.
