A Toaster Sweater for Engagement Photos

Okay, I’ll try to spare you the blabbering rant about how long it’s been… let’s just hope I remember what I’m doing here. Or who I am. It’s hard to know after you’ve been sucked into the abyss of wedding everything for so long. We’ve been back from the honeymoon for a couple of weeks now and I feel like I’m finally settling back in. I finally got to clear off the kitchen table this past weekend, so that was pretty amazing. I’ll get into all of the wedding DIY hoopla soon, but for now I’ll start off with a catch-up post from January :) The only non-wedding thing I made this year before jumping into the deep end… Yes, it’s the Sew House Seven Toaster Sweater 2! Made to go along with January’s Project #SewMyStyle. I was undecided about the neckline at first (I’m not usually a fan of high necklines & turtlenecks), but so many cute versions were popping up on IG, I figured I had to try it out! Aztec Sweater

Finished this one in December but I didn’t get around to taking a picture of it until now.   This sweater was my inspiration: I used almost the same pattern/guide that I used for the Seven Dwarf costumes, just made the arms a little more fitted and added a band of fabric going the opposite direction at the collar and bottom of the arms and body of the sweater.
