Stitch Fix #9 – February

February Stitch Fix | Life by Ky Blog

You’d think with all of the beautiful weather we’ve been having lately I’d be ready for Spring, but I really just want to cozy up in a nice warm sweater… so that’s what I asked for in this month’s Stitch Fix.

Of course they couldn’t send just sweaters :) This one came with a white tank to wear underneath (which was very soft, by the way), but I think it was still a little too see-through for my liking. It gave me a great idea for a future sewing project, though… :) The tulip sleeves are fun.

The fit was a little off for me. The color is great for Spring, though!

I love love how long the sleeves are. Usually sleeves are too short for me so these were a nice change of pace. Other than that, though, it didn’t really do much for me. Too airy for a long sleeve cardigan.

Talk about cozy sweater. I am so in love with this one and I’ve been living in it since the box came. It’s made from 100% acrylic yarn, but it’s super soft. Kinda reminds me of the yarn I used to make a little bolero sweater thing a few years back:

Wow, check out that picture… that was the shortest I think my hair has ever been! Speaking of which, I got it done on Sunday! I didn’t go short this time – but I did go lighter! Only bad part is I might actually have to get it done more often. Then again that’s what I always say and then another year goes by… :/

Okay… back to the fix…

Last one is the pants. They are a nice dark grey… on my monitor, the above picture is actually pretty accurate. Although they also kinda just look like black that went through the wash one too many times, do they not?! They are cute and they fit great but I got a pair of not-so-similar-but-similar-enough grey pants back in December so I’m staying strong for now and letting them go back :)

Oh and just in case you’re wondering, yes, that is actually what the shelves look like in our living room right now (empty!!)… I put it up a few weeks ago and haven’t figured out what to put on there yet. I actually bought two of those things for the office (okay, I guess they’re called etageres, but I feel silly using that word)… but they didn’t fit like I wanted them to so I put one in the living room. Now I need some photos or something… it’s looking pretty sad :/

As always, thanks for stopping by to see my awkward pictures and hear my ramblings and opinions on random clothes! If you haven’t tried Stitch Fix before and want to give it a try, CLICK HERE and help me continue my obsession (<— referral link).

Oh, also… I know it’s a little ways out but any ideas on what to wear for St. Patrick’s day? Apparently my work goes all out. I’m thinking about making something but I’m not sure. Somewhere I have a “kiss me I’m a pharmacist” shirt, but I’m not sure that would be appropriate and/or safe to wear… :/

Until next time,

Ky

  1. I really liked the coral one on you. I have the same issue with sleeves so I’m always happy when they are long enough. And funny thing…I didn’t even notice the empty shelves until you said something. I had to go back and look!
